Having said that, permission is not hard to get: just email me and tell me what you want to do with it, and if it isn't a way for you to make money off my work without paying me a share, then chances are very good I will say "go ahead".

However, make no mistake about it: I will vigorously persecute anyone who doesn't come to me first, before reproducing my work; or who, having gotten permission on a no-profit understanding, later makes a profit from using my material and doesn't voluntarily share that profit with me.
